Background to this sketch
I started going out with the then writer producer and director of republic of telly. I’ve a kid who he became very close to. Now her official dad. Anyway he made a stab at being cross with her one day very early on. “I’ll murder you” he said.
I roared laughing. remember when our parents used to say stuff like that I said. There and then he picked up the phone to his AP. (it was a Saturday, never stops bloody working him)
I’ve a great idea for a sketch ….things we said in the 80s.
Can’t believe so many many sketches came out of that moment. Amazing really. And I’m so proud to have had the privilege to have done all the costumes along the way ………love my job!!!!!!!!!!
